Overview
Coconut-shell charcoal briquettes have taken over the premium shisha and grilling market for a simple technical reason: shell charcoal is denser than wood charcoal, so it burns longer, hotter and cleaner, with ash content that can be held under 3%. Indonesia is the natural home of the industry because the coconut processing belt generates enormous volumes of shell as a by-product, which would otherwise be waste. The briquettes we supply are pressed from carbonised shell with a natural starch binder, dried down hard, and cut to the shapes each market expects, whether that is a shisha cube, a hexagon for grilling, or a finger cut.

Where it's grown
Post-harvest
Shell is carbonised in kilns to drive off volatiles, then crushed and screened to a consistent particle size, because inconsistent granules are what cause briquettes to crack and spark. The powder is mixed with a natural starch binder, extruded or pressed into shape, then dried in ovens for many hours until residual moisture is low enough for stable, smoke-free burning. Finished briquettes are graded for breakage, weighed and packed. Ash content, burn time and moisture are tested per batch and can be certified for the shipment.
Season
Briquettes are manufactured year-round and are not tied to a harvest window, since shell feedstock is continuously available from coconut processing. Lead time is driven by production capacity and drying cycles rather than seasonality, typically two to four weeks for a full container after order confirmation.

Packing, shipping & documents
Standard packing is 1kg inner boxes into 10kg or 20kg master cartons, with private-label printing available for qualifying volumes. A 20ft container carries roughly 18 to 20 tonnes. Shipments include certificate of origin, packing list, and on request a laboratory report covering ash content, moisture, fixed carbon and calorific value, which most serious shisha and BBQ buyers specify. Pallets and shrink wrapping are used where the destination warehouse requires them. Samples ship by courier so you can burn-test before contracting.
